In the summer of 2004, Ride-Away opened up two satellite locations in Virginia, one of them being in Norfolk. This strengthened Ride-Away's presence in the Mid-Atlantic region by having three locations covering Maryland, Virginia, and parts of Northeast North Carolina.
Ride-Away’s Norfolk location has made an immediate and lasting positive impact on the community as well as their customers, and it shows in their work.
Recently, The Braun Corporation honored the Norfolk location with the Braun Customer 1st Award for outstanding customer service. Their impact on their local community has allowed Ride-Away to create more and more opportunities for their customers to become independent again.

Joy has been a Ride Away employee since October 2005. Once she heard about a mobility consultant opening at the Norfolk, VA location, she took full advantage of the opportunity. Since then, she has grown into one of the best mobility consultants in the company. When asked what the most rewarding part of her job is, Joy said, "Being able to work closely with our customers and being able to educate them on our products that are going to make their lives easier on a day-today basis."

At that time, he was looking for a company that he could have a more meaningful career, as well as being able to do things that would have a positive impact on people, and thought that Ride-Away would make the perfect fit. Over the past couple of years Jeffrey has grown to become very knowledgeable with the product line that Ride-Away offers its customers, which has made his transition to becoming a Mobility Consultant, a very smooth one. When asked what the most rewarding part of his new position is, Jeffrey said, “The feeling of knowing that I was able to help someone in need gain a bit of their independence back and that I could make a difference in their life.”
